Directions and Parking

The Summer Solstice Jazz Festival is staged in the Bailey Parking lot (189 Bailey St) in the heart of downtown East Lansing. The festival will be easy to spot with a large tent in the parking lot and a stage in the middle of Albert Ave.

Driving Directions
If arriving from Detroit on I-96: Take I-96 to Okemos Rd. (Exit 110), turn right onto Okemos Road and proceed north to Grand River Avenue, about 4 miles. Turn left onto Grand River Avenue and proceed west about 3 miles, where Grand River intersects with Division St. Turn right onto Division. From there, you'll see a bright orange and teal parking ramp. That will be your closest on-site parking.

If arriving from the north on US-127: Take the US-127 South to Lake Lansing Exit (exit 79) off ramp and turn left onto Lake Lansing Rd (1.5 mi). Turn a right onto Division St (about 2 miles). From there, you'll see a bright orange and teal parking ramp. That will be your closest on-site parking.

If arriving from the south on US-127: Take US-127 North to the Michigan Ave./Kalamazoo St. exit. Continue to 2nd traffic light and turn right onto Michigan Avenue. Travel about 1.5 miles and turn left onto Division St. From there, you'll see a bright orange and teal parking ramp. That will be your closest on-site parking.

If arriving from Grand Rapids on I-96: Take I-96 to I-496 East. Take Exit 8 toward East Lansing. Merge onto S Homer St (0.2 mi). Turn right onto Michigan Ave (1.4 mi). Turn left onto Division St. From there, you'll see a bright orange and teal parking ramp. That will be your closest on-site parking.

Festival Parking
All City of east Lansing parking ramps will be open for festival parking, however; the Division St. Parking Ramp is the closest to the festival. There will be a number of street closures for the festival and summer construction. Please don't be intimidated! We believe in you!

Handicap Parking
Additional handicap parking spots can be found on Albert St. between the Bailey St intersection and the Division St. intersection

Bus Routes
The SSJF is easily accessible from CATA's Route 1, which travels between the CATA Transportation Center in Downtown Lansing and the Meridian Mall in Okemos via Michigan and Grand River avenues. The SSJF is located just steps away from Route 1 bus stops on Grand River Avenue.

Free valet bicycle parking will be provided courtesy of the Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council.
